On arrival, after walking the red carpet, you will be greeted with a glass of champagne, beer or soft drink.
After some chit chat with other guests you will then take your seats for a fabulous three course meal, a
couple of glasses of wine are on offer here too. After we have filled our tummy’s and had just enough wine,
the live Auction will begin, prepare to be mesmerised by the wonderful prizes that have been donated.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the band will begin, for you to dance the night away.
A transport service for those of you who live in Pauanui has been arranged to and from the resort

The 19th Hole Café & Bar Texas Holdem Poker Tournament
    •Where: At the 19th Hole Café & Bar, Jubilee Drive, Pauanui

9.30am Wilderness Walk - Wincorp Adventures – Damian Johansen
    This is a gentle walk into the semi-tropical rainforest, where you will pass under some of the worlds’ largest tree ferns - see New Zealand’s’ only palm tree and explore The Coromandels raw beauty. You will also cross crystal clear streams, taste the pure water that flows from the mountains high above, and view craggy volcanic outcrops. Learn about some of the history of the region and about Maori medicines and foods of the forest… We hand feed “Silky” the eel. You are advised to bring a snack and water.

As you wander beside the mountain stream you will see how spectacular the forest can be at night. Also view the Milky Way, Southern Cross, shooting stars and more on a clear night. Learn about some of the history of the region and about Maori medicines and foods of the forest.

International Golf Test Match – Australia v New Zealand – Lakes Resort Pauanui
    Lakes Resort Pauanui will be host the inaugural Legends of a Golf Test match between New Zealand and Australia. The Australasian Legends Golf Tour, as it sounds is for the legend of Professional golf aged 50 years and over. The tour has over 40 events in 2010 played throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, with the biggest event being the Australian Open played in Perth with over $300,000 in prize money.
The test match will be preceded by a morning Pro-Am, there will be a limited opportunity for amateurs to play in this event with Professionals.
Cost will be $250.00 pp which includes golf, test, match lunch and drinks.

    An event created by Lollipop the Clown and we guarantee a lot of fun and entertainment. This is a timed event from when you start. You first “cryptic” clue is to be collected anytime between 9.30am and 10.30am from the Pauanui Sports and Recreation Club. You’ll then be led to different locations to find or decipher different clues as you go on a treasure hunt around Pauanui.

Cost $5.00 per entry/team.

Prize-giving at 4.00pm at the Pauanui Sports and Recreation Club. After the success of this event last year, it’s a must do! Great spot prizes and prizes for quickest times.

    Approximately 8.5km’s up and over Pauanui Mountain, 387mtrs, 1258ft. This is a real challenge – can you handle it?

    After the rave reviews from previous years this event is a must. Wander through pristine native forest viewing the magical Glow Worms and the majestic Kauri trees which have sprung up through the site of the old goldmining village, Puketui. Have some of the Maori medicines and foods of the forest explained. This is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. An event not to be missed.

    Walk will take approximately two/three hours, completed forms to be returned to Richardson’s Real Estate Office by 2.00pm tomorrow or earlier. This is a slightly longer walk, so we are offering you two days in which to complete it. Prize-giving at Pauanui Club tomorrow at 3.30pm.

    An all time family favourite. Use your imagination and your creativity. No rules, no regulations – use anything you like except heavy machinery.

Spectators, please bring your money down and vote for your favourite sand sculpture. All proceeds to Pauanui Surf Life Saving Club.

Cost to build a sand sculpture $2.00 per sand sculpture. Please note you will be building on an incoming tide, so allow room for this!!

    Registration day at the Pauanui Surf Club. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday our trained lifeguards will instruct, teach and display water safety for the kids, a must for a safe and enjoyable sun, sand and sea holiday. Nippers and cadets from 9 to 13 years.

Until 4th January 2010 Coastal News Beach Art Competition
    Back by popular demand. Please call into the Pauanui Information Centre and collect a canvas. Design your picture which must include at least 50% of beach products, ie, sand, shells, driftwood, etc. Return completed canvas to be displayed at the Information Centre anytime prior to judging on 4 January at 4.00pm. Entry $7.00 each. Four categories – preschool, primary, intermediate and other.
   
Danske Mobler Outdoor Funiture Competition
